CFA Level 2 Success Story

It is an accepted fact among the people in the fraternity that CFA Level 2 is a hard nut to crack. And a score like 2740 based on our CFA coaching in Delhi is proof of Akshat’s month-long dedication, focused preparation, smart study techniques, and unwavering commitment.

Why is CFA Level 2 Hard to Crack?

Among all three levels of the examination, CFA Level 2 is challenging as it tests the application of concepts in real world situation. The case-study-based exam not only requires technical knowledge but also analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective time management.

The aspirant is expected to have advanced knowledge in topics such as equity valuation, fixed income, derivatives, financial statement analysis, portfolio management, and alternative investments. The level takes a leap from the former one as it needs interpretation of the lengthy item sets under exam conditions.

For the students pursuing dual degrees, it becomes a herculean task to balance their personal commitments with CFA preparation. And one such story is that of Akshat Sanklecha, whose focused preparation helped him excel even in one of the world’s most demanding finance examinations.

Meet Akshat Sanklecha

It is not an easy job to ride in 2 boats at the same time, but Akshit Sanklecha embraced the challenge and nailed it with a splendid score. His determination and a clear vision led this B.Com graduate from Mumbai to pursue CFA with CA. He is a CA Inter, now preparing for his CA Final and gradually advancing through the CFA journey.

His achievement is remarkably noteworthy because of his exceptional performance in CFA Level II. His impressive 2740 score is an outcome of time management, organised planning and balancing the rigorous CA curriculum with the analytical depth of the CFA Program. It required his consistency, focused preparation, and the right learning approach. Our expert mentorship reduced his CFA duration compared to others, which takes longer time to complete the curriculum.

His journey is an inspiration as it clearly shows how a well-defined goal and disciplined execution can help aspiring finance professionals excel in multiple professional qualifications, and that too simultaneously.

Why He Chose CFA and His Preparation Journey

Akshat was pursuing his articleship in Mumbai, and he got aware of CFA from his hostel mates who were already preparing for the qualification alongside Chartered Accountancy. The interactions with them sparked his interest, after which he explored more about the global finance charter.

Although CA is a good option offering a strong foundation in accounting, taxation, and law, Akshat felt that professional expertise would complement his career aspirations. He learned that CFA eligibility stands open for CA inter students, and the qualification would offer him in-depth knowledge of investment analysis, portfolio management, equity valuation, and financial markets. So, he got motivated to pursue both qualifications simultaneously.

He successfully cleared CFA Level 1 on his own. He self-studied but then joined edZeb for Level II on his friend’s recommendation, who previously studied under Vikas Vohra. According to him, our structured learning approach made a significant difference in his preparation. He says that the comprehensive lectures simplified complex concepts, which let him cover the syllabus efficiently.

One aspect of the learning experience that particularly stood out was the use of practical examples from Indian companies. Relating theoretical concepts to familiar business scenarios made it easier for him to understand and retain difficult topics. He also appreciated the flexibility of the recorded lectures through the Learning Management System (LMS), which allowed him to learn at his own pace while balancing the demands of CA.

Before he appeared for the exam, he attempted both edZeb and CFA Institute mock examinations. His mocks were carefully evaluated, and he admits that they helped him strengthen his conceptual understanding and build the confidence needed to approach the final examination with clarity.

Scoring 2740 in CFA Level 2

It is challenging to score 2740 in CFA Level 2, and his achievement is all because of his focused preparation and disciplined approach. He very well balanced the rigorous demands of Chartered Accountancy alongside the CFA qualification. He demonstrated that consistency and conceptual clarity can make even the most challenging examinations achievable.

Akshat continues to build a strong foundation for a career in core finance as his journey highlights that with the right mindset, effective learning resources, and regular practice, one can help you achieve seemingly unachievable results.

A Story That Inspires

Akshat Sanklecha’s achievement is a reminder that success in CFA Level 2 comes from consistent effort, conceptual clarity, and a focused preparation strategy. His impressive score of 2740 while doing CA reflects what determined aspirants can accomplish with the right mindset and guidance.

At edZeb, we congratulate Akshat on this remarkable milestone and wish him continued success in his CA journey and future career in finance. We hope his story inspires every CFA aspirant to stay committed to their goals and prepare with confidence.
